Apse Dining Chair

The Apse takes its name from the oldest solved problem in architecture: the semicircular recess that closes a room. In elevation, the back is exactly that — a continuous arch, opened at the lumbar line so the form reads as structure rather than surface. The chair is molded as a single material story. Seat, back, and legs resolve into one another without visible fasteners; the leg section carries a shallow spine that stiffens the frame where dining service actually loads it. Edges are radiused for stacking contact, not for softness — the profile survives being handled by staff four times a day. Molded polypropylene with UV stabilization, colored through — the finish is the material, so wear reads as patina rather than damage. Suitable for covered outdoor use. Stacks six high. Wipes clean with anything a bar rag can carry. Six units is a table. Forty is a terrace. The Apse is built to be counted, not noticed — until the room empties and the arches repeat down the rail.
